| Founding Doctor's Message |
 |
As
I glimpsed in the mirror one morning, I found myself in an unwilling
confrontation with an aged, balding stranger whom I ever so reluctantly
acknowledged as my changed self.
As I realized the toll stress had taken on me physically, I began
intense research on any correlations between stress and nerves. I
found that, similar to the function of a plant root, bodily nerves
serve as the transport vehicle of vital nutrients to allow healthy
and consistent regenerative cycles throughout. However, when our five
sensory nerves are affected by various stresses, they become disconnected
and unable to carry out their given functions. Lacking sufficient
nutrition, a once healthy and active hair growth cycle becomes disrupted
and unproductive.
In my surrounding geographic oasis of rare plants, fortune chanced
me upon a certain aloe species, which I discovered to have properties
of relaxation on our nerves. Using its extracts, I developed a successful
all natural formula to restore the health and regenerative ability
in hair, skin, and nails.
Healthy hair growth is essential to physical well being as it is the
excretory organ of minerals in the body (i.e. heavy metals such as
aluminum which, at high levels, are potentially hazardous to physical
health). Hair also serves as protection for our skin and enforces
thermal regulation. |

| Hair Follicle |
 |
The
matrix cells in the bulb of the follicle continuously multiply and
divide, forcing the cells above them upward. As they move up, they
gradually die and harden into the hair shaft.
This process, the anagen phase, extends over 5 to 6 years. However,
if the matrix cells are not being produced sufficiently, the longevity
of the anagen phase lessens. This inhibits the chance to develop into
a thick and long hair fiber and causes the follicle to produce thinner
and thinner hairs through each cycle. |

| Stress |

|
The French word, stress, is defined as THE NON SPECIFIC RESPONSE OF
THE BODY TO ANY DEMANDS MADE UPON IT. Each demand made on the body
is unique in that there is a definite response. When we are cold,
we shiver, when we are hot, we perspire, etc. Selye notes that distress,
or harmful stress, occurs when emotional stress (affected by environment,
human relations, lifestyle) is prolonged and left undealt. This inspires
complexes within one's self. In turn, these complexes become increasingly
stressful for the body and perhaps source most all health problems.

| Stress Release and Relaxation |
 |
Relaxation is not limited to physical rest. In fact,
too much rest can, in turn, cause distress to the body. Rather, relaxation
is the time for oneself to release distress. This can be through exercise,
cooking, work, reading, etc., basically whatever is enjoyable and
constructive for you, but always in moderation.
Another way to release distress is by applying specific controlled
stresses to the body. Oriental acupressure and acupuncture are methods
in which a stress stimulus is applied to the body to then affect a
release. |

| Cause of Hair Loss: Stress |
 |
| As the body's nervous system receives ever-increasing
stresses, the synapses begin to short, disconnecting nerves. The body's
liver and kidneys becoming overworked, the capillary vessels become
thinner and thinner, unable to carry sufficient supplies of keratin
to the follicle. The follicle, then, sprouts progressively thinner
hairs until nerve completely disconnects and follicle becomes inactive/dead.

Concept
If the portion of a tree that is above the ground is cut but the
root remains, then the tree can and will grow back. This is because
the roots call the necessary nutrients from the soil and water up
into its own body and grow a new tree.
Similarly, when hair is cut, it continues to grow because the nerve,
still connected, commands necessary nutrients from the blood up
through to the attached follicle. However, when stress becomes overwhelming
to the body, the nerves (or roots) are shorted and detach from the
follicle. The nerve can be reconnected if the nutrients necessary
to the growth of healthy hair from the follicle.
Aloe
There are over 2,000 species of aloe found in the world. Of these,
there exists one species that contains the very minerals and nutrients
necessary for the health of bodily neurons.
